  1.  Used the model of human occupation as a conceptual framework to
  2. examine the relationship between the number and meaningfulness of
  3. roles performed and life satisfaction in 112 noninstitutionalized
  4. elderly persons (aged 65-91 yrs). Results suggest a positive,
  5. significant relationship between life satisfaction and the number of
  6. roles performed and the level of involvement in meaningful roles.
  7. Findings support the basic premise of occupational therapy, that
